Each lesson (grades K-8) contains a Home Connections newsletter to support parents and to continue the conversation at home. The newsletter provides lesson highlights, conversation starters, why it matters and parent resources. Click here to view a sample newsletter.
You're In Control: While parents can access basic resources on our Parent Resource Center, the Home Connections Newsletter for each lesson can only be accessed by parents with a direct link from you. This means parent's won't be able to navigate on their own to different lessons or grades.
We’ve made it simple to share with parents with a link via email, your LMS or print and send home.

Share Digitally
We've made it easy to share in a variety of formats.
Copy & Paste a Message
This method is designed to make it easy to share in an email, message or LMS. It contains a short pre-written message that you can easily edit in your preferred communication tool.
The message will be the following:
Your child participated in an Emily’s Hope Substance Use Prevention Lesson today! Please use this link to hear more about what they learned and how you can continue the conversation at home: [Link will appear here when pasted]
- Click the Copy Message to Clipboard button
- The button will change to Copied!
- Open your preferred email or communication tool and paste.
Tip: Use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + V (Windows) or Command + V (Mac) to quickly paste - Depending on your tool, you may need to make the link a hyperlink, which can normally be done by highlighting the link and clicking the link icon in the tool.
- Send the message to parents.
Remember: You will need to send each lesson's Home Connections newsletter for parents to access.
Copy Just the Link
This method is designed to share in any tool without the pre-written message. This option is easier to use if you are writing a completely custom message to parents, or perhaps want to send multiple lessons at one time to parents.
- Click the Copy Link to Clipboard button
- The button will change to Copied!
- Open your preferred email or communication tool and paste.

Share PDF
We recommend sharing digitally because we are also developing videos for parents that will be soon added to each Home Connections landing page, but we know some educators would prefer to print a PDF newsletter. You can do this by clicking on the Preview Newsletter button and downloading the PDF on the page.
